Associate Professor Sam Orde, Intensive Care Specialist, Nepean Hospital.  Trained at Oxford in UK qualifying in 2003 then came to Australia in 2004 for 6 month working holiday and never left.  Completed echo fellowships at Nepean in 2012, and at Mayo Clinic in 2013.  ICU specialist at Nepean since 2014, Director since start 2020.  Sam has earned a PhD on Advanced Critical Care Echo. Academic interests include: cardiovascular physiology in ICU, critical care ultrasound, use of echo simulation and online platforms to teach use of ultrasound in the critical care setting (@echonepean ; https://www.icetnepean.org/echo-education.html).  Big fan of FOAMed.
