Dr Lau Yie Hui (MMed Anaesthesiology(Singapore), FANZCA) is Senior Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Intensivist from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore, where she is currently the Director of the Surgical ICU. She currently leads the Society of Intensive Care Singapore’s research arm-the National Investigators for Clinical Epidemiology and Research. She has been an active basic critical care echocardiography educator since 2017 and has completed the National Board of Echocardiography Examination of Special competence in Critical Care Echocardiography (NBE CCExam), currently holding Testamur status. Her interest in POCUS was sparked by seeing its utility in GP practice in her East Malaysian hometown and continues to advocate for POCUS education in her practice.
