The first Aussie PIE will take place at ICET, Nepean Hospital, on 13-14 July 2024. (Note the change in venue from Potts Point to Nepean Hospital).

The Practical Intermediate Echo (PIE) workshop is not an advanced echocardiography course and do not prepare the participants for exams (i.e. not an exam coaching course), but is a very practical workshop aims to teach those who already attained beginner’s critical care echo level (Level I) and want to move on to proper Doppler measurements. The course emphasis is on WHAT, WHY and HOW. Apart from Doppler skills, we also cover the physiology and physical principles behind the measurements.

Based on the valuable feedbacks and experience, we have improved the PIE course contents and lectures for this course.

Note that PIE is an intermediate course and assume participants have basic transthoracic echo skills. Please click here for further information.
