Following the success of PIE in 2023, RACEplus and PIE are returning to Hong Kong on 19 – 22 November 2024.

RACEplus has established itself as one of the best basic echo course for crtical care physicians for many years. With more than 95% of the participants reporting that they are comfortable to perform a basic transthoracic echo after the course is itself a testament to the long established quality. PIE, on the other hand, is a relatively new course. It is not an advanced echocardiography course and does not prepare the participants for exams (i.e. not an exam coaching course). PIE is a very practical workshop aims to teach those who already attained beginner’s critical care echo level (Level I) and want to move on to proper Doppler measurements in their practice. The course emphasis is on WHAT, WHY and HOW. Apart from Doppler skills, we also cover the physiology and physical principles behind the measurements.

SPECHO is the “new baby” on the block. SPECHO is a half-day course designed mainly for nurses and paramedics. It is a very practical course, and aims to provide spot examination of cardiac function by transthoracic echocardiography.
